Privately owned Trent Precast Concrete Ltd is part of the JRL Group, a collection of over eight construction companies. The company specialises in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete and glass‑reinforced concrete (GRC) units, based in Nottingham.
Requirements Of a Bespoke Precast Operative
- Experience within a GRC facility / architectural precast manufacturing facility essential.
- Experienced with the technical ability to set up precast units and work to processes.
- Ability to read manufacture drawings.
- Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
Responsibilities Of a Precast Operative
- Reporting to the Operative Supervisor.
- Safe and accurate production of lattice planks, balcony units and wall panels.
- Preparing moulds.
- Installing shutters and formwork.
- Positioning lattice girders, reinforced steel, cast-in fixings, conduits, sockets and other inserts.
- Checking dimensions, and carrying out visual inspections.
- Working to drawings handed out and setting up precast units in accordance with the drawn specifications and tolerances.
- Achieving daily targets and working to tight deadlines.
- Ensuring all work is up to a high standard and meets process requirements.
- Adapting and recycling knowledge to work efficiently.
- Having the ability to learn new processes.
