Midgard is the main contracting division of the +£800m turnover JRL Group and utilises all the company's in-house resources and facilities to provide clients with a bespoke construction service.
We have gone back to the time when contractors carried out work themselves with a dedicated, reliable workforce and their own fleet of plant and equipment.
Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a tenacious attitude, with a desire to succeed and progress in their career.
They will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
Responsibilities
- Provision of guidance and advice on valuation of work in progress and future projections.
- Negotiating with client’s representatives, sub-contractors and other consultants.
- Advise on contractual implications of intended courses of action.
- When appointed, undertake the integrated role of package manager on a project.
- Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects.
- Preparation of monthly contract review reports.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts information.
- Identify change and implement change control process and agreement.
- Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement.
- Ideally you will have experience of managing large Residential new build projects.
- Works collaboratively and uses influence to gain resolution of issues.
- Seeks out ways to add value to customer’s business.
- Strives for achievement of business goals.
- Shows initiative in resolving problems.
- Inspires, challenges and motivates others.
