Spearheading the JRL Group from the outset, J Reddington Ltd has been an industry leading groundwork and concrete frame specialist for over two decades. Building on a proven track record to date, the company is now increasingly being called upon to deliver solutions on large projects in London and the South East.
We are looking to recruit a design engineer with responsibility for carrying out temporary works schemes and associated design reports with scheme drawings.
Role Includes But Is Not Limited To:
- Undertake the design of concrete structures, groundwork and formwork systems
- Select the appropriate temporary works solution for a scheme
- Produce calculation reports in line with design codes
- Produce workshop drawings to illustrate the temporary works solution selected
- Produce designer risk assessments
- Work with permanent works designer to integrate the temporary solution where possible
- Liaise with clients and all members of the design team when necessary
Requirements:
- Applicants should have a good knowledge of building codes such as EC2 & BS 5975
- Possess a civil or structural engineering degree working towards chartership
- Good working knowledge of 3D software especially Revit, Tedds, Robot, Wallap, Graytec
- Advanced design ability to perform under pressure and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Must be able to work as part of a team but use own initiative to complete tasks
- Knowledge of concrete structures, groundwork support and formwork support systems
- Ideally 5 years post graduate experience
