Looking across London you will see indication of our involvement in shaping the new London skyline. Due to the fantastic architects & designers we house in each department throughout the group, we have been fortunate enough to be involved & lead in iconic projects in vast areas of the capital. Midgard Design Services (MDS) is our specialist design department based within our main contracting arm, Midgard, a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group headquartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £850m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our commercial teams.
As part of a well-established team the successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their architectural skills and gain experience working on some of London’s larger, more iconic schemes which will enhance their career prospects.
Key Responsibilities:- Design & Technical Support
- Assist in the preparation of concept, planning, and technical drawings
- Develop design proposals using CAD and BIM software
- Produce 2D drawings, 3D models, and visualisations
- Support the preparation of planning and building regulation submissions
- Assist architects with project coordination and documentation
- Help prepare presentation materials and reports
- Attend internal meetings and, where appropriate, client or consultant meetings
- Support site visits and assist with site reports
- Degree in Architecture (RIBA Part I or Part II, or equivalent)
- Strong design and visual communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Good understanding of UK planning process and building regulations
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
