DESCRIPTION

Assistant Managers are our General Managers’ right-hand partners.

They do more than simply support and occasionally take the reins.

As an Assistant Manager you’ll play a full part making the restaurant the best it can be.

Our restaurants usually have multiple Assistant Managers, and while the roles may differ slightly depending on whether they’re working front of house or back of house, one thing does remain the same: the very real prospect of one day picking up the keys to your own Slim Chickens not too long from now.

As an Assistant Manager for Slim Chickens you will need to

  • Support the General Manager in the day-to-day management of the business, both Front of House and Back of House
  • Lead by example and inspire your team to deliver outstanding guest hospitality
  • Act as a brand ambassador, building awareness of the Slim Chickens brand
  • Support with local marketing opportunities to drive sales and the presence of your restaurant and the Slim Chickens brand in your local area
  • Ensuring compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively develop and train your team to be the best at what they do
  • Help in building a passionate, engaged team that provide a great guest experience and can support with future new site opening
  • To carry out this role you will need to be over 18

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise Shift Leaders and Team Members
  • Support the General Manager to oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure all Company standards are adhered to
  • Support the delivery of all key training with the General Manager and identifying training needs and capability gaps within the team
  • Ensure that all audit requirements are adhered to, including Health and Safety, Food Audits, Stock take, EHO and Financial Audits
  • Build and maintain an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards the business objectives
  • Support the manager to control costs without compromising standards and the Slims guest experience, through weekly and daily line checks
  • Working in Back of House helping and training the team during peak times
  • Comply with all legislative and Company Food Hygiene and Health & Safety requirements and help promote a positive safety culture throughout the business

Experience

  • Proven leadership expertise and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience working in a management position within the catering and hospitality industry
  • High level of communication skills with the ability to effectively coach and develop your managers and team
