We have been retained by a federal contractor, a leader building military projects throughout the world, to find a results-driven Director of Operations (DOO) to drive the execution of company strategy across large regions and major programs. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the DOO will oversee multiple project executives and teams, ensuring alignment with corporate vision, client satisfaction, and performance goals. This role offers a path to COO of European operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale programs or regions, driving performance and execution.
- Oversee Project Executives, setting metrics and ensuring successful delivery.
- Build and maintain key client relationships, acting as the senior point of contact.
- Collaborate with Proposals, Estimating, and Business Development teams on winning bids.
- Analyze market competition, assess trade partners, and develop capture strategies.
- Ensure financial targets are met while fostering team performance and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship (required for security clearance).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of program management experience in U.S. Federal Government contracting.
- Experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel frequently and for extended periods.
