Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our mobile engineering team.
You will play a key role in the installation, diagnostic fault finding, servicing, and testing of custom hydraulic machinery on customer sites across the UK.
This role requires flexibility to work away from home, with full expense coverage and a company vehicle provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Traveling to customer sites across the UK to service, inspect, and repair hydraulic presses and industrial machinery.
- Carrying out systematic electrical, hydraulic, and PLC fault finding to resolve breakdown issues promptly.
- Stripping down, inspecting, resealing, and testing hydraulic valves, cylinders, and integrated systems.
- Conducting pre-commissioning, testing, and final quality sign-offs on site.
- Representing JRD BIPEL professionally while managing on-site client interactions.
Experience & Essential Requirements
- Proven background as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or Maintenance Engineer on heavy machinery.
- Strong multi-skilled technical expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and PLC fault finding.
- Hands-on experience with stripping, resealing, and testing hydraulic valves and cylinders.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home (typically 4 to 5 days per week).
- Full UK driving licence (required for operating company vehicle).
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
