We are seeking a creative and talented Womenswear Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fashion obsessed with the ability to demonstrate a keen sense of taste and aesthetic judgement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating authentic womenswear designs from concept to final product.
- Focusing on enhancing the details, fabrication and construction of timeless silhouettes and co-ords, ensuring everything is truly original and tasteful.
- Create technical drawings and specifications for production.
- Sending weekly requests to suppliers i.e., fabric and trim.
- Managing the organisation of the fabric and trim library.
- Attend weekly fit sessions giving input into design details whilst assisting the garment technologists with any CADs needed on the back of changes for fit comments.
- Preparing monthly release CAD boards for display.
- Preparing design and sign-off meeting note packs.
- Undertake and compile competitor shop reports and seasonal/monthly trend reports.
- Complete inspiration research.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ yearsβ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working for/with high-end tasteful retailers is essential.
- Exceptional levels of taste and aesthetic judgement is essential.
- Confident using Adobe Software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Highly organised with good time management skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to adapt ways of working to meet brand requirements and deadlines.
- A confident individual with the ability to individually present work to a wider team.
