An exciting opportunity for a Fashion Graduate, newly or recently qualified, to join the team of a well-established trend-led manufacturer/supplier of ladies' fashion. Working with fashion-led high street retailers!
As part of the Womenswear Design Department, you'll be joining the structured team as a Design Assistant. You will be assisting with design concepts through to final product presentation. You must have a fashion design qualification in Womenswear design and strong sketching and CAD skills. This is a hands-on, varied role, offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of product categories. They are looking for someone enthusiastic, adaptable, and versatile with potential to grow within the company.
Main responsibilities:- Send out sample swatch packs to buyers.
- Send samples to factories and buyers.
- Build on your fabric knowledge, develop the fabric catalogue, and source trims.
- Assist designers with ideas and trend research.
- Prepare showroom for buyers' presentations.
- Maintain fabric swatch library.
- Conduct research on current and future trends from a variety of sources to identify newness.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
- A recent Fashion Design Degree.
- Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm.
- A creative flair and capability of thinking outside the box.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
