We are currently working with a fast-growing, private equity-backed B2B SaaS company. With aggressive growth targets, a product-driven culture, and a sharp focus on delivering customer value at scale, we\’re searching for a proven engineering leader to help drive innovation, scale the platform, and build a dominant engineering organization.

The Role

As their VP of Engineering, your role will include leading the engineering function across multiple product lines, driving technical vision and execution, and being responsible for building a high-performance team to support our growth. You’ll be a critical member of the executive team, working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align engineering outcomes with business objectives.

Prior experience in a B2B SaaS and private equity-backed industries is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the engineering strategy, org structure, and execution roadmap across all product teams.
• Helping the business go through a large-scale modernization and professionalisation of their tech stack and Engineering practices
• Scale and optimize a high-performing engineering organization, including hiring, mentoring, and team development.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software.
• Implement and manage KPIs for engineering performance.
• Lead platform modernization, architectural scalability, and infrastructure resilience.
• Manage engineering budget, headcount planning, and vendor/partner relationships.
• Responsible for the culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership, with 5+ years in a senior/executive role.
• Proven experience scaling engineering teams in a B2B SaaS environment (must-have).
• Demonstrated success operating in a private equity-backed company or a high-growth, change-driven environment.
• Deep understanding of modern SaaS architectures (microservices, cloud-native, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to balance tech vision with practical execution.
