We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Methodology Engineer. In this role, you will directly develop analysis procedures to be followed by the stress analysts, creating the required tools to automate existing analysis processes as much as possible. You will perform uncommon structural analysis related to R&D projects, performing advanced FE analysis and creating related procedures to make them future standards.
Stress Methodology
- Develop and release analysis procedures to improve standardization of Stress Group output.
- Support Stress Engineers in fixing issues related to FEA pre/post and solution.
- Support and perform R&D investigation of uncommon events on track not currently covered by DLS and structural analysis related to R&D projects, performing advanced FE analysis.
- Follow-up on FEA software licensing and hardware, optimizing their usage.
- Where required, support the Stress group in structural analysis sign-off activities, taking over already built models.
Innovation and Professionalism
- Maintain and develop effective communication with the whole team and external partners and suppliers.
- Stay at the forefront of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and industry advancements.
- Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.

Experience
- Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering master’s degree.
- Strong, broad understanding of carbon and metal structures.
- Strong knowledge of theory behind FEA.
- Excellent usage and knowledge of Altair Hypermesh/Optistruct, Abaqus. Other packages as a plus.
- Scripting skills with main codes (VBA / Matlab / TCL / …).
- Extensive experience at a senior level as FEA application engineer.
- Initiative, proactive, and innovative.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
