Trainer

Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. The position is based at their HQ in Winfrith.

This is an office-based role, working office hours, Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.

The role is temporary until March 2026, with potential flexibility to travel to Ferndown premises. Please note, the post is based in Winfrith.

The purpose of the role:

• Design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure police officers, staff, and other members meet the force\’s requirements and priorities.
• Focus on delivery of initial and force training programmes across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall, including targeted training for specific groups.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, prepare annual training schedules, and design, develop, and deliver various training packages, including initial and force training.
• Deliver training as a facilitator or lecturer across different areas as needed.
• Design and deliver training for on and off-the-job learning, including written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, using innovative methods.
• Identify individual and organizational training needs through training needs analysis and discuss these with management.
• Assess trainees\’ skills and abilities against relevant standards fairly and accurately.
