Main purpose of the role: As a Planning Surveyor based at our Manchester offices, you will be part of the Acquisition & Planning team. This technical SME role involves managing activities related to securing planning rights for Mitie projects, including MNO customer projects (upgrades, replacements, new sites) and specialist projects like Solar PV and EV solutions. You will work across multiple client programmes, requiring teamwork and technical expertise in planning activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and planning appraisals to facilitate project delivery.
- Prepare and manage planning applications through to completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, providing expert planning advice.
- Perform research, site feasibility studies, and trend analyses.
- Engage with local authorities, developers, and community stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
- Analyze network performance data and identify improvement areas.
- Prepare detailed planning reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and policies.
