Systems Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Systems Engineer to join our client, a defence contractor specializing in the design, development, and integration of Communication and Electronic Systems across Land and Sea.

Responsibilities include:

1. Defining, developing, and delivering complex systems that incorporate sensors, electronics, signal processing firmware, and software.
2. Managing the entire systems development lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation, integration, testing, and customer acceptance.
3. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams (hardware, firmware, software).
4. Ensuring systems meet performance, quality, and customer requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Ability to attain SC or DV UK Security Clearance.
• Solid experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
• Hands-on expertise with system integration and testing.
• Comfortable working collaboratively across engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of electronics and embedded software/firmware integration.
