Job Description:

Role: SFA (Surgical First Assistant)

Location: London

Hours: Full-time

Salary: Up to £47,000

A private hospital in London is looking for an experienced SFA to join their team.

As a Surgical First Assistant, you will be a fully qualified practitioner with extensive experience in ENT operations.

• Preparing the patient for surgery.
• Handling tissue and manipulating organs for access confidently.
• Using retractors competently under the supervision of the surgeon.
• Cutting deep sutures and ligatures.
• Assisting with wound closure as directed.
• Applying dressings where required.

Requirements:

• You must be an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with full NMC/HCPC registration.
• A postgraduate qualification as a Surgical First Assistant.
• At least 6 months of UK experience as a Scrub/SFA.
• Extensive specialist experience in ENT surgeries.
