Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings of international organizations, covering software, open source, and mobile OS domains, such as ECMA, W3C, OCX, etc.
- Proactively contribute to innovation and evolution of software technologies and standards (such as ArkTS/Cangjie, Atomic Services, Native HarmonyOS APP and Kits, Open Source Enablers).
- Provide insights on software related novel technologies and new market regulations at global scale (with a focus on Europe), including major EU regulations (e.g.: DMA/DSA) which have impacts on software ecosystem for market fairness and openness.
- Collaborate closely with CBG European and HQ departments for timely business alignment, as well for internal progress reporting, and external presentations.
- Define strategies and working plans.
- Promote innovative applications, pilots, and implementation with EU partners, based on software technologies, and novel application development tools, contributing to CBG business success in Europe.
- Support EU-SID CBG events/summits/workshops, relevant to Software/OS/Open Source.
- Support technology cooperation with European academia and research institutes.
- Support EU-SID CBG project management, budgeting, and internal coordination.
Competency Requirements:
- Educational Background: major in software, computer science, with a masterβs degree or PhD degree.
- Insights and Analysis: be able to deliver insights reports based on news, policies, regulations, technology trends, and be excellent at presentation.
- Application Development: be able to develop simple mobile applications in one of major platforms (iOS/Android/HarmonyOS), and understand software development lifecycle, and be familiar with development tools.
- Communication Skills: have strong internal and external communication skills and collaboration abilities, and be able to work in a multi-culture environment.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Chinese, both spoken and writing, proficiency in other languages is a plus.
