My client is a global defence and aerospace leader, and due to new business contacts, they seek a Maintenance Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician include:

  • Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on mechanically biased machines.
  • Perform alignment and geometry checks.
  • Utilise hand tools and test equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers.
  • Collaborate with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment.
  • Adhere to control standards and procedures.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Must have completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Good understanding of maintenance operations and fault finding.
  • Basic IT literacy and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
