My client is a global defence and aerospace leader, and due to new business contacts, they seek a Maintenance Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician include:
- Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on mechanically biased machines.
- Perform alignment and geometry checks.
- Utilise hand tools and test equipment to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers.
- Collaborate with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment.
- Adhere to control standards and procedures.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Must have completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Good understanding of maintenance operations and fault finding.
- Basic IT literacy and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
