The Opportunity
You’re looking for more than a traditional tax compliance role. You want to work in a strategic, globally connected environment where your expertise directly shapes how a multinational organisation meets its tax obligations. This is your chance to step into an internal role with global scope — no clients, just impact.
As Senior Manager, you’ll take ownership of international tax filings across a wide range of jurisdictions. You’ll focus on critical areas like Pillar 2 and Country-by-Country reporting, and you’ll work alongside a high-performing team that values quality, accountability, and smart collaboration. This role offers you the best of both worlds: technical depth and strategic influence, without the seasonal intensity of traditional practice work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Global Compliance: Oversee tax filings in 20–50 jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all submissions.
- Manage Pillar 2 and CbC Reporting: Stay ahead of evolving global standards, driving high-quality reporting and ensuring compliance with new regulations.
- Coordinate External Advisors: Scope work, manage deliverables, and review outputs from local tax advisors, ensuring alignment with internal objectives.
- Partner with Finance: Work closely with offshore finance teams to gather data, review calculations, and maintain an efficient compliance process.
- Support Tax Accounting: Provide tax journals and disclosures under IFRS, supporting year-end processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Engage with Authorities: Manage correspondence with tax authorities across jurisdictions, resolving issues with professionalism and clarity.
What You’ll Bring
- You have solid UK and international corporate tax knowledge, with hands-on experience managing global compliance.
- You’re confident reviewing overseas tax returns and working with local advisors to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- You know how to interpret financial statements and extract key data for compliance and reporting purposes.
- You’ve contributed to tax accounting processes, including journal preparation and IFRS disclosures.
- You prefer a steady, consistent workflow throughout the year — not a high-pressure seasonal peak.
- You communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both tax and non-tax.
- You have an interest in using technology to improve tax processes and increase efficiency.
- You hold a CTA (or equivalent) qualification and bring experience from practice, industry, or both.
Why This Role Stands Out
- You’ll step into a truly internal, strategic tax role — not a client-facing position.
- You’ll work as part of a close-knit team where your expertise and independence are valued.
- You’ll benefit from flexible working arrangements and a strong, supportive workplace culture.
- You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of tax regimes and international structures — with the space to do your best work.
