Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Superintendent , you will manage all field and site-specific activities, including the company\’s Production System, project design, budget, schedule, performance, subcontractors, and profitability. Effective communication with project managers and clients to anticipate and address project needs is essential.
You will also lead, mentor, and direct staff in the field, ensuring the proper use and inspection of tools and equipment.
- Monitor project budgets and forecast potential gains and losses at the phase and cost type level
- Ensure third-party monitoring/testing complies with specifications
- Identify and support training needs and apprenticeship programs for field staff
- Prioritize safety and proactively address risks on-site
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten years\’ experience in commercial construction with a large general contractor
- Extensive experience as a superintendent in large projects
- Experience managing end-to-end construction projects
- Health & Safety Awareness (5 Steps) training required
The salary range is up to C$168,000 (£90,500) plus bonuses, share options, benefits, and relocation assistance. Candidates must have previous experience delivering projects valued between £10-£30m, demonstrate consistent employment, and meet Canadian visa requirements. The company will assist with visa costs and provide guidance.
