A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a 3-month contract, based in Hatfield (Hybrid), £600/day, Outside IR35.
Team and System Overview
Our ServiceNow Operations team requires a Technical Consultant to configure and support IT Service Management systems. The IT service management system is a critical 24/7 system used internally, as well as by customers and third parties worldwide. It provides tools based on ITIL principles to deliver, measure, manage, and improve IT infrastructure support services for our customers. While offering extensive functionality, it is essential to implement these tools to our customers in a standard and repeatable manner, maintaining high quality.
What you’ll bring
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow best practices
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a ServiceNow developer or consultant on medium to large-scale ServiceNow platforms, with excellent communication skills
- Extensive experience in IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Experience with Field Service Management (FSM), Security Incident Module (SIM), and HR Service Management (HRSD) is desirable
- Experience working in a SaaS environment
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
- Highly organized, meticulous, structured, and methodical in delivery
- Ability to work using Agile methodologies
- Full ownership of technical and business issues

- Perform complex development activities to meet business requirements
- Deliver new or enhanced functionality through configuration or development
- Work on modules such as CSM, FSM, HR Service Desk, and more
- Collaborate with the team to develop functionality as requested, following company processes
- Engage with the Operate team and other GIS teams to analyze, document, and report work completed, ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Adapt quickly to dynamic team environments
- Provide guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues
- Act as a role model for technical and behavioral competencies
- Follow Information Security Policies and report any security events or risks
