CEN Resources is partnering with a successful and growing engineering consultancy based in Glasgow. Due to growth and project awards, they are hiring a Senior Process Engineer. The company operates in industries like Energy, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, and Life Sciences. Responsibilities:
- Support Lead Process and Process Safety Engineers in Process Design during Concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
- Develop sizing calculations for Process equipment such as Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Compressors, Separators, Reactors, etc., and prepare datasheets.
- Prepare process equipment and instrument documentation for projects.
- Provide design input for engineering drawings and review documents prepared by the design team.
- Stay updated with standards, software, and procedures, applying them in daily work.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and chemical process simulators; experience on production sites is a plus.
- Perform site visits for surveys, meetings, and related activities.
- Support process safety deliverables like HAZID, HAZOP, DSEAR, and HAC studies, including scribing and facilitation.
- Prepare process specifications, diagrams, and deliverables including Process Design basis, P&ID diagrams, Heat/Mass balances, Material selection diagrams, Line and Equipment lists, and Data sheets.
Qualifications & Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering.
- Familiarity with process design in chemical plants.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Customer-facing experience.
- Experience with process safety deliverables.
