As an ambitious and motivated Performance Control Systems Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the optimization of vehicle-dynamic control systems such as traction control, energy management, pitlane speed control, brake balance, and hybrid deployment strategies at track events. You will support the development of new vehicle control strategies, focusing on hardware-in-the-loop testing systems such as dynos and driving simulators.

Your Tasks:
- Be trackside and optimize vehicle-dynamic control systems such as traction control, energy management, pitlane speed control, brake balance, and hybrid deployment strategies
- Monitor the vehicle’s legality and performance, including diagnosis of problems and communication of the optimum corrective actions
- Consider circuit layout, driving style, mechanical setup interactions, and reliability risk
- Simulate/model new vehicle control strategies, focusing on hardware-in-the-loop testing systems such as dynos and driving simulators
The successful candidate will:
- Have a Masters/Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Have trackside motorsport experience of control system tuning and parameter optimisation from a high-level motorsport category like WEC, Formula-E, F1, etc.
- Show excellent vehicle-dynamic understanding, applied to racing (limit-cornering) conditions
- Show excellent understanding in control theory and signal processing
- Be highly proficient using Matlab, Simulink, vTAG, and similar development tools
