As an ambitious and motivated Performance Control Systems Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the optimization of vehicle-dynamic control systems such as traction control, energy management, pitlane speed control, brake balance, and hybrid deployment strategies at track events. You will support the development of new vehicle control strategies, with a particular focus on hardware-in-the-loop testing systems such as dynos and driving simulators.

Are you a team player who thrives on responsibility, with strong analytical skills and a very good understanding of control systems? Then you are the right person to take on this challenge. Experience teamwork and be inspired by the passion of our 450-strong workforce for motorsport and automotive projects.

What We Offer:

  • Exciting projects and a place for technical freedom and innovation to get things moving.
  • Attractive benefits packages e.g. competitive remuneration, social benefits, 30 days annual holiday, car leasing, free on-site gym.
  • A challenging, fulfilling workplace in a multi-national company within a familiar atmosphere – driven by fascination and passion.

Your Tasks:

  • Be trackside and optimize vehicle-dynamic control systems such as traction control, energy management, pitlane speed control, brake balance, and hybrid deployment strategies.
  • Monitor the vehicle’s legality and performance, including diagnosis of problems and communication of the optimum corrective actions.
  • Consider circuit layout, driving style, mechanical setup interactions, and reliability risk.
  • Simulate/model new vehicle control strategies, with a particular focus on hardware-in-the-loop testing systems such as dynos and driving simulators.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Have trackside motorsport experience of control system tuning and parameter optimization from a high-level motorsport category like WEC, Formula-E, F1, etc.
  • Show excellent vehicle-dynamic understanding, applied to racing (limit-cornering) conditions.
  • Show excellent understanding in control theory and signal processing.
  • Be highly proficient using Matlab, Simulink, vTAG, and similar development tools.

If you are a dedicated and experienced engineer with a passion for Motorsport and have the qualifications and skills described above, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding position.

Join our team and contribute to the success of our team. We look forward to having you on board!
