Job Description:

We are exclusively recruiting for a leading Insurance Broking organisation seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team. The client is a leader in its field, with a strong niche presence and a fantastic company culture, supported by a first-class legal team led by an experienced General Counsel.

This role involves working closely with key stakeholders across the business, including C-Suite, Claims, Underwriting, and Finance. It offers exposure to both UK and international, multi-jurisdictional work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Broking & Claims Teams on pre- and post-litigation matters.
• Providing claims advisory services and coverage advice as needed.
• Drafting and revising policy wordings, collaborating with underwriting on new product development.
• Handling ad-hoc legal inquiries, including data privacy, employment, and regulatory issues.
• Drafting and advising on key commercial insurance agreements, such as TOBAs, Insurer NDAs, Broker Agreements, and non-insurance contracts.

Candidate Requirements:

At least 4 years PQE with experience in Insurance, either in Private Practice or In-house. Experience in an insurance broking environment and understanding of insurance regulation are advantageous.
