About the Role
The Senior Engineering Geologist will work on various projects across the country, balancing independence and teamwork. Good management skills and at least 5 years of industry experience are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Minimum 5 years of engineering geology experience in transport or energy sectors.
- Report to the Operations Manager and deliver ground investigation and geotechnical services across the UK.
- Work in sectors like infrastructure, nuclear, energy, and environmental projects.
- Be knowledgeable in ground investigation techniques.
- Prepare Health & Safety documentation and promote a safe working environment.
- Plan, supervise, and program Ground Investigation projects nationwide.
- Log Soil and Rock in accordance with BS5930:2015+A1:2020.
- Maintain accurate field records.
- Supervise site activities and staff as a Site Agent or support role.
- Perform in-situ testing and sampling per standards.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors during site works.
- Manage site data using company software.
- Assist in compiling monthly financial reports.
- Write factual reports.
- Follow health and safety protocols on site.
- Maintain fitness to perform site tasks on various sites, including active construction and linear projects.
Qualifications
HND or Degree in engineering geology, environmental, or geotechnical engineering.
Required Skills
Project management, data collection, GIS, geotechnical expertise, and business development.
