Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning Data & AI boutique consultancy which continues to scale. This firm has won multiple awards for innovation in AI and for its culture and working environment.

They are looking for a senior consultant/manager level candidate to help shape the future of data and AI by working with clients to define and implement AI strategies that drive real business impact. The role involves leading initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and guiding on AI best practices. This is not a technical role; they are not seeking a data scientist.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging stakeholders to understand their data & AI needs and ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• Creating and managing roadmaps for AI solution development and deployment
• Evaluating and recommending technologies that enhance data capabilities in line with business needs
• Running client-facing workshops focused on GenAI use-case discovery and prioritization

The ideal candidate will have a background in data & AI consulting, excellent stakeholder management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience addressing complex data challenges with scalable solutions.

From an AI perspective, the candidate should have:

• Commercial awareness of how GenAI can add value across business functions
• Capability to assess GenAI readiness in data infrastructure, talent, governance, and culture
• Understanding of GenAI solution types and appropriate recommendations (assistants, summarization, generation)
• Familiarity with major GenAI platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, open-source LLMs)
• Ability to build cost models and advise on usage and spend optimization
• Knowledge of AI ethics, legal, and compliance considerations, including UK and EU guidelines

Exposure to industries like consumer goods, energy, life sciences, or retail is desirable. The role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel for client workshops and team meetings approximately once a quarter.
