A leading M&E Engineering Consultancy based in London is looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join their team. As the Environmental Consultant, you will be someone with a keen interest in Energy and Sustainability, an awareness of environmental issues and current legislation, and the ability to interpret energy-related reports with an analytical approach to decipher information and process accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Gathering and processing utilities consumption data.
- Conducting energy audits of properties, understanding building services and controls, and identifying energy-saving measures.
- Assisting with technical feasibility projects.
- Carrying out site investigations into utility metering and infrastructure, advising on improvements.
- Producing energy and sustainability reports for prestigious offices and property portfolios.
- Reviewing and creating smart metering reports.
- Liaising with utility suppliers and clients.
- Undertaking site surveys of commercial properties (offices, retail, industrial) to produce EPCs (non-domestic) and DECs (not required).
- Entering data from site surveys into modelling software (SBEM / others).
- Performing modelling to ensure accurate and optimal asset ratings.
- Developing and enhancing data capture and modelling processes for EPC/DEC work.
- Assisting with ESOS assessments (Lead Assessor qualification not required).
- Assisting with TM44 Air Conditioning Systems Inspections (not required).
Academic Qualifications:
- BEng / BSc / HND
Membership of Institution:
- CIBSE / EI / RICS (affiliate)
Essential Training:
- CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant, Qualified Energy Assessor at level 3 / 4 (SBEM)
Preferred Background/Training:
- Energy / Environmental background or interest
- Building Services / HVAC knowledge
- Non-Domestic Energy Assessor Level 5 (DSM)
- Understanding of Building Regulations (Part L)
IT Knowledge:
- MS Word (Intermediate/Advanced) – Required
- MS Excel (Intermediate/Advanced) – Required
