Senior Director – Operations Strategy
Leading Private Equity-Backed Consultancy
Flexible Location, UK-Based
Salary: £130k-£150k + Bonus + Share Scheme
This rapidly growing consultancy, known for its strategic operational expertise and impressive client roster, is seeking a Senior Director to lead complex operational transformations across high-profile organisations. Backed by private equity and experiencing a period of robust growth, this firm offers a unique opportunity to shape its future direction and be a key player in its continued success.
The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with extensive experience in operations strategy, capable of driving large-scale change initiatives while overseeing and mentoring senior teams. You will work directly with C-suite executives and key stakeholders to define and implement transformative operational strategies at leading global businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams delivering large-scale operations strategy and transformation projects for top-tier clients.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to drive client success and long-term partnerships.
- Play an instrumental role in business development, from managing existing relationships, pitching to new clients and growing key accounts – *there is no sales target associated with this role.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the firm, working closely with senior leadership on key initiatives around operational excellence and sustainable growth.
- Help drive the firm’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, ensuring these values are embedded in all operations and client engagements.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Extensive experience at a Director / Senior Director level within a consulting environment, leading operational strategy and transformation engagements, ideally coming from an MBB, private equity-backed or strategy consulting background.
- Proven success in managing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in building and nurturing C-suite client relationships, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, financial services, technology, or consumer goods (industry-agnostic background is preferred).
- Exposure to Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Procurement is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic thinking and innovation.
