Element is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to join our growing Cyber Engineering Services. This hybrid role involves designing and implementing highly secure technical solutions to protect against cyber threats, with a focus on detection engineering within Element's security tooling.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and implementing security solutions and toolsets to address vulnerabilities and automate tasks.
  • Manage the security operations tooling roadmap.
  • Engineer, implement, and monitor cybersecurity infrastructure and technologies.
  • Create detection rules to identify suspicious activities.
  • Develop and optimize SIEM event correlation rules.
  • Support the transition of projects into operational services.
  • Develop security tools for vulnerability mitigation and automation.
  • Maintain documentation and procedures.
  • Conduct security checks and troubleshooting.
  • Support incident response and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Defence team to uphold security practices.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, supporting business growth through security.
  • Strong expertise in at least one of: Platform Protection, Network Architecture, Cloud Security.
  • Ability to review and contribute to designs, reports, and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of security principles and trends.
  • Experience with networking in multi-site environments.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as NDR, FW, IPS, IDS, EDR, MDR, DAST, SAST, IAM, SIEM, SOAR.
  • Experience in cyber defense operations.
  • Previous experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or related roles.
  • International and multicultural work experience preferred.
  • Proactive communicator at all organizational levels.
