The company

S&H are exclusively partnering with a leading global retailer/leisure business. The business is seeking a high-quality corporate lawyer to join its in-house team in a key Senior Legal Counsel role, supporting the Group General Counsel. This is an exciting and varied position.

The role

A business-facing in-house role at a top-tier company, with a balance of business partnering and advising stakeholders on a variety of corporate and strategic matters. Secondary responsibilities include broader commercial work and the opportunity to diversify experience. The role can be broken down as follows:

• Supporting the General Counsel and senior stakeholders on corporate matters such as share and asset acquisitions, JVs, and restructurings.
• True business partnering with various business units.
• Supporting capital structure and corporate financing initiatives.
• Assisting with corporate governance, compliance, and company secretarial matters.

About you

• Strong academic background
• In-house experience is essential, gained through secondment or permanent roles.
• Law firm training preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• PQE of 4+ years, approximate guide
