Job Opportunity: Backend Software Developer

We are recruiting a Backend Software Developer on behalf of a growing digital consultancy. In this role, you will work on a cloud-heavy, AI-enhanced project within the public sector, supporting a central government client.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or Java
• Proven cloud engineering expertise, ideally within AWS
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda and S3
• Familiarity with containerisation and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform
• Prior experience working with or delivering projects for the defence industry
• Exposure to AI/ML is a plus, but not essential
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and secure environments

Additional Details:

• Location: London or Poole (2 days per week onsite)
• Duration: Initial 6 months, with a view to extend

Note: Due to the nature of the role, active SC or DV Clearance is required for eligibility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in secure government environments who is confident working with modern backend technologies in an Agile setting.
