Role Title: SAP Basis Consultant Possibility of remote work: Hybrid, 3 days/week WFO Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester, UK ————————————— JOB DETAILS Required Core Skills: SAP Basis, SAP on Cloud (Azure), S/4 HANA, SAP HANA DB Desired skills: Windows and Linux Minimum years of experience: 10 years Detailed Job Description: Strong SAP Basis experience – 10+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, primarily in SAP AMS, with direct client stakeholder management. Experience in technically leading large teams in both implementation and support is required. Should also have experience in technical solutioning for enhancement and application/DB upgrade projects. Responsibilities include driving and coordinating daily/weekly/monthly cadence and ad-hoc calls with clients and internal stakeholders, performing technical analysis, feasibility checks, planning, and coordination for all planned maintenance activities across application, database, and infrastructure layers, including OS patching, component upgrades, kernel upgrades, and add-on/plug-in installations. Coordinate all planned and unplanned activities through the change management process established by the client. Conduct due diligence and analysis for periodic tasks such as EWA analysis, security note implementation, vulnerability management, and audits. Define and agree on BAU processes, approvals, and communication with the customer. Troubleshoot and coordinate responses to critical incidents (P0/P1). Engage in performance management through proactive analysis and improvement plans with customers and stakeholders. Experience working with various SAP products such as SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, SAP BW, SAP PO, BOBJ/BODS, SAP SCM, SAP Java systems, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAP Fiori, SAP SLT, and SAP SaaS products like Cloud Connector, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP. Handle regular incident management, SNOW SR handling, change management, and be well-versed in audit and vulnerability management within SAP environments. Responsible for SAP Basis administration in productive clients (application layer), transport management system requests, and day-to-day support for SAP system integrations.
