THE COMPANY:

Our client is a successful banking firm with a strong global presence across wholesale and capital markets.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess the permissibility of transactions daily, in accordance with sanctions laws and internal policies.
• Monitor and assess changes to sanctions legislation regularly.
• Provide advice and guidance to the EMEA region on sanctions operational controls.
• Act as the primary contact for OAD management regarding sanctions compliance.
• Gather and verify due diligence related to transactions or activities performed by the Bank.
• Monitor operational controls within the EMEA region.
• Advise on the adequacy of sanctions operational controls.
• Provide sanctions training to key stakeholders to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Assist in drafting relevant policies and procedures.
• Report breaches of policy or regulation to the Head of Sanctions.
• Assess sanctions regulatory enforcement actions and recommend actions to the EMEA region.
• Escalate issues effectively to the EMEA Head of Sanctions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience in conducting investigations.
• Strong analytical skills for logical assessments based on factual data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when facing challenges.
