With their UK Head Office based in the Manchester area, they are ideally looking for someone who can easily commute to the site on a frequent basis.
The International Sales Director will lead a team (8 direct reports) with a focus on growing sales for all of their Electrical Solutions brands outside North America. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and driving the implementation of sales strategies and programs for leading firms in their target markets.
- In alignment with Brand Management, develop and implement successful sales strategies, programs and initiatives that achieve the sales plan, operating profit plan, market share objectives, and working capital goals.
- Build a high-performing team by providing strong mentorship, coaching, and guidance.
- Drive accountability throughout the team with a focus to retain and grow business with existing customers, penetrate new markets and add new accounts.
- Ensuring timely recognition and reward for top achievers and implementing performance management actions when needed.
- Monitoring market trends, develop and implement business plans, forecasts, competitive analysis and general sales insights and sales efficiency.
- Develop and lead sales plans, incentive plans and budgets.
- Develop, direct and lead a revenue and profit plan for assigned accounts to achieve maximum penetration.
- Provide overall product direction as it relates to the channel.
- Identify product gaps (design, price, quality) and provide general recommendations and direction to improve our market presence.
- Ensuring the proper use of CRM databases and tools to provide forecasts and track performance.
- Building strong and collaborative relationships with other internal stakeholders.
The Person
Education / Skills / Experience:
- An MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales/Marketing.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar international sales leadership role.
- Ideally 5+ years experience within the global Energy sector, working directly with large owners, operators, OEMs, developers and engineers is preferred.
- Experience of working for an electrical components’ manufacturer would be advantageous but consideration will also be afforded to someone coming from another manufacturing environment.
- A track record of having successfully built, scaled and led high-performing sales teams.
- Proven ability to influence others as well as lead and empower teams, including a direct sales force.
- Strong experience in a consultative sales environment and possess the ability to prospect and manage senior-level relationships.
- A high degree of creative intelligence and analytical aptitude.
- A team player that thrives in helping others succeed.
- A demonstrated ability of problem-solving and priority setting and quality decision-making.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel over 60% of your time.
