We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day performance of multiple convenience retail sites. This is a field-based role requiring a hands-on leader with a passion for retail excellence, team development, and operational efficiency. You’ll thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same — driving commercial performance, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the highest operational and safety standards across your area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a portfolio of convenience retail sites to deliver operational excellence.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers to achieve KPIs and growth targets.
- Take full ownership of store P&L, budgets, and financial reporting, ensuring profitability across the area.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, health & safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure consistent standards across all stores.
- Support the rollout of new initiatives, promotional activity, and operational changes.
- Provide guidance on HR-related issues including performance management, recruitment, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, finance, and marketing to deliver strategic objectives.
What we are looking for?
- Proven multi-site retail management experience, ideally within convenience or food retail.
- Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage store-level P&Ls and budgets effectively.
- Field-based management experience with the ability to travel regularly.
- Confident and effective leader with excellent people management skills.
- HR experience is highly desirable (e.g., recruitment, disciplinary, absence management).
- Results-driven, commercially astute, and highly organized.
