Position Summary: The Release and Environment Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the release cycle and environment configurations across our applications. This role involves decision-making authority over the release process and requires extensive experience with Azure environments, Docker, React, Angular, Oracle Database, Node.js, environment management, and Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release Cycle Management: Lead and make strategic decisions regarding the release cycle to ensure timely and successful application deployments. Develop and manage release plans and schedules in coordination with project timelines and business needs. Implement and manage best practices for release management processes. Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of development, testing, and production environments. Ensure environments are secure, scalable, and consistent with organizational standards. Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage application deployments and infrastructure. Work closely with development teams using React, Angular, Node.js, and Oracle Database to optimize application performance and deployment pipelines. Implement automation tools to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual interventions.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to align on release schedules and objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on release status, issues, and resolutions. Mentor and guide team members in best practices for release and environment management. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance release efficiency and environment stability. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our release and environment management practices.
