Euro London Appointments is pleased to transmit a new opportunity for an experienced RF Engineer to join their leading international client in the south of London. As a recognised industry leader in their specialist field of bespoke and standard RF antennas for international and UK based companies in several sectors (emergency services, transportation, public safety, defence, utilities, manufacturing, construction), they’re now looking to grow their business with a new RF Engineer who will work alongside their RF Engineering team based in their London offices and production site.
The RF Engineer will work to help develop, improve, measure and characterise the company’s RF antenna products. They will also support the production, quality, sales and marketing teams with additional information, training support and product troubleshooting. The position will be based in our client’s London office (possibility of one day a week of working from home after training and integration within the company) with the occasional possibility for UK and international travel to visit customers, sub-contractors and subsidiary companies.
Who will I work with?
You’ll work alongside a small team of RF Engineers within the Technical department, working closely with the radio frequency and design engineering teams. You’ll work cross-functionally with colleagues in the production, sales, marketing and quality teams.
Main responsibilities:
- Supporting the development of new RF antennas and associated technologies.
- Assisting with the improvement of existing RF antennas and associated products.
- Conducting measurements of products in the company’s anechoic chambers.
- Interpreting, formatting and analysing the outputs of anechoic chamber measurements.
- Modelling and simulating the performance of antennas in CST Microwave studio.
- Learning more about our client’s product line and markets that they sell into.
- Supporting the Sales and Marketing teams with information and support related to products.
- Identifying opportunities for patents and assisting in drafting patent applications.
- Reviewing and providing input into technical documentation as required.
- Developing and delivering product training inside and outside the company.
Objectives:
- On time development of new antenna products meeting required specifications.
- On time delivery of other engineering and continuous improvement projects.
- Improving own product knowledge.
Qualifications and experience:
- A degree in RF/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least one long-term experience in RF antenna or wireless communications industry ideally in the communications or mobile antennas sector.
- Specific knowledge and skills:
- Experience with using anechoic chambers to measure RF antennas.
- Experience with CST Microwave studio is an advantage (HSF or AWR are also transferable alternatives).
- Desire to develop in-depth understanding of our client’s product range and the markets they sell into.
- Some knowledge of patents, their drafting and the application process is desirable but not essential.
- A commercially minded attitude, able to understand the impact of decisions on current and future work.
- The ability to travel nationally and internationally on an occasional basis.
- Experience with Microsoft office packages.

Working hours:
42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break and 2x paid 15 minute breaks during the working day. Remuneration based on skills and experience level. A full benefits package with a focus on health and mental and physical wellbeing.
