Job Description:
Job title: Product Safety Engineering Manager
Salary: From £55,000 dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- You will support BAES-SM production of the safety Build Assurance Justification.
- Review and ascertain the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE and ensure that the platform is being built to design intent.
- Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent.
- Act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees.
- Provide the safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups.
Your skills and experiences:
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skillsets and experiences with senior board levels.
- Gain programme management experience.
- Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems.
- Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures.
- Hold a degree within a STEM subject.
