We are looking for a talented and detail-driven Product Copywriter to join our copy team at Liberty. You will play a key role in crafting compelling and creative product copy to connect, inspire and drive action. Reporting to our Lead Product Copywriter, you will work closely with our trade, marketing and buying teams to support web enrichment and ensure that business priorities are met. This is an exciting, entry level opportunity for someone who is commercially minded with an affinity for storytelling and passion for homeware, fabrics, beauty, fashion, and all things Liberty!
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing clear, engaging website copy including creative product descriptions, landing pages and brand descriptions focusing on the Home & Fabrics department, in addition to supporting our other categories as needed.
- Writing creative product descriptions for all Home third-party brands, including Liberty own brand and fabrics.
- Proof-reading and editing copy to ensure spelling and grammatical accuracy across all copy.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders from across the business, including marketing, buying and retail, to ensure business priorities are successfully met.
- Tracking and managing workload based on business priorities and demand.
- Ensuring Liberty tone of voice remains consistent and authentic at all times.
- Apply SEO best practice without compromising brand tone of voice and integrity.
Requirements and Experience:
- Some experience of product copywriting, preferably within luxury fashion, lifestyle or beauty would be an advantage.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt tone and messaging for different brands and departments within the business to pique customers' interest and engagement.
- A strong understanding of Liberty’s brand identity and vision.
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practice.
- Highly organised and comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
