This role utilises broad-based knowledge of resources, practices, and methods to handle complex Private Equity tasks and projects with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include all phases of the Private Equity cycle, primarily document preparation, coordination, production, distribution, and legal research.

Private Equity Paralegal Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level support to partners, associates, senior paralegals, and the paralegal team leader within the Private Equity department.
• Own projects and act as \’project contact\’ between associates, department members, and other professional staff, especially for large-scale projects.
• Serve as \’buddy\’ to paralegals, providing guidance and support on new or complex assignments.
• Conduct Companies House searches and analyse constitutional documents.
• Draft and file Companies House forms; prepare ancillary documents such as board minutes, director resignation letters, and stock transfer forms.
• Prepare statutory declarations and edit documents like loan note registers, subscription documents, and share certificates.
• Manage KYC processes, maintain trackers, and draft correspondence to counterparties including local counsel, HMRC, company secretaries, lawyers, and clients.
• Organise and update precedent and transaction bibles/sets, and create electronic bibles.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum of four years\’ experience in a similar paralegal role within a law firm.
• Law Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law, or equivalent qualification.
• Strong research skills with proficiency in research tools such as Westlaw UK, Lexis Library, Practical Law, company registries, and court-related websites.
