They are a global HNWI/UHNWI wealth management firm, with oversight of assets in excess of £40bn, with an enviable record for client service and protection as well as a strong record of advisory investment excellence across a broad range of multiple asset classes. They are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Private Client Relationship Manager to join their Central London team.
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded global wealth management business, supporting the management of a sophisticated client book comprising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. You will have responsibility for oversight and advice on investments of clients wherever they are held across different asset classes and strategies. Acting as the number 2 in the team with oversight of circa £2.4bn, you will work closely with the Director of this team, and other partners and team members as well as other business areas including investment analysts and other divisions including the investment management team. You will contribute to both client relationship management and investment strategy implementation, while playing a pivotal role in business development and portfolio oversight. Over a period of time, you will be expected to run your own book of clients.
Skills & Experience Required
- RDR Level 4 qualified (or equivalent) and eligible to advise UK retail clients on securities and derivatives and other asset classes.
- Strong preference for CISI LEVEL 6 certificate (PCIAM).
- Degree-educated; CFA Charterholder or CAIA is highly advantageous.
- 6-12 years demonstrable experience managing or assisting with a book of HNW/UHNW clients within wealth or investment management.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, and investment research.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Director and Partners in day-to-day client management, maintaining and strengthening existing relationships.
- Oversee portfolio reviews, trade implementation, and periodic reporting.
- Respond professionally and promptly to client queries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Conduct portfolio modelling, implement investment strategies, and monitor post-trade activity.
- Prepare for and contribute to client meetings, including leading meetings when required.
- Undertake investment analysis and research, providing critical insights and recommendations across multiple types of assets.
- Analytical review and investment analysis of client suggestions.
- Assist in preparing and presenting to prospective clients, and support new business initiatives.
- Ensure robust KYC and compliance procedures are maintained.
- Aspire to manage your own client book as you progress.
