Power BI Developer

Remote (UK-based) Initial 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract North Scout are partnering with a boutique consultancy to recruit a Power BI Developer to join a growing Data function within a well-known FTSE100 organisation. This is a UK-based remote role, initially offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong view to becoming permanent. The Role; As a Power BI Developer, you’ll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality data visualisations and reporting solutions that enable smarter decision-making across a complex enterprise environment. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, translating data into insight and supporting a data-driven culture. Key Responsibilities; Develop, enhance and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports Translate business requirements into meaningful data visualisations Optimise DAX queries and Power Query for performance and scalability Build and maintain robust data models aligned with governance standards Produce clear, concise technical documentation and support materials Collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders What We’re Looking For; We’re after a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and values clarity, structure, and accuracy—particularly when it comes to documentation and data model design. Proven experience with Power BI in a commercial setting Strong DAX , Power Query , and data modelling capabilities Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehouse principles Excellent documentation and written communication skills Ideally, experience with some or all of the following Azure Synapse Analytics, Tabular Editor 3, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform tools. Confident working with stakeholders at all levels across the business Experience working in large enterprise environments is advantageous Professional Development; You’ll have access to a broad range of internal and external training opportunities, including certifications, online learning, and hands-on workshops — all designed to support your technical growth and career progression.
