Key Role Feature: Own and scale acquisition marketing across PPC, Meta, and SEO for multiple international brands. We are working with a high-growth, PE-backed consumer business undergoing an exciting e-commerce transformation. With a strong heritage in the sports and lifestyle category, the business is investing heavily in its Direct-to-Consumer capability.

This newly formed interim leadership team is driving a commercial and digital reset, creating significant opportunity for ambitious, hands-on performance marketers to shape the future direction of the business and its brand portfolio. The business is building its D2C function from the ground up, and this newly created role arrives at a pivotal moment.

The Interim Head of Performance Marketing will take full ownership of acquisition channels, with a particular focus on scaling PPC activity and improving paid social performance. This hire will accelerate customer acquisition across the UK, Germany, and US.

The Interim Performance Lead will:

  • Lead and manage paid acquisition channels including PPC, Meta, and SEO across multi-brand, international markets.
  • Take immediate control of agency relationships, challenging existing partners and, where necessary, leading agency review processes.
  • Scale PPC activity from £20k to £100k+ monthly spend, ensuring strong ROI and acquisition growth.
  • Collaborate closely with ecommerce, creative, and leadership teams to align acquisition plans with brand launches and market expansions.
  • Play a visible and influential role within a newly assembled interim leadership team.

Extensive experience in PPC and performance marketing, with a track record of successfully scaling budgets. Global or international experience would be a bonus, ideally in US and/or Germany. Strong agency management skills, with the confidence to assess, challenge, and improve partner performance. Commercially driven, with proven ability to deliver against sales and customer acquisition KPIs. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-change environments with evolving priorities. Experience in ecommerce, consumer brands, or PE-backed businesses preferred.

Benefits of the Role:

  • Day rate of £600–£800 per day (dependent on experience).
  • Flexible working model - overnight accommodation covered, making it commutable from London.
  • Immediate, high-impact role with ownership over key growth channels.
  • Opportunity to shape the D2C and performance function from the ground up.
  • Work alongside an experienced, collaborative interim leadership team.
  • Exposure to a fast-growing international business in an exciting lifestyle category.
  • Gain visibility across multiple brands and high-growth markets.
  • Potential to extend beyond the interim term or transition into a permanent leadership role.

We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all employees and job applicants. In line with the Equality Act 2010, we strive to create and maintain a working environment in which everyone is able to make the best use of their skills, free from discrimination or harassment, and in which all decisions are based on merit.
