We are seeking an experienced Private Client Paralegal to join a highly respected legal team in Edinburgh. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to work with one of Scotland's largest teams of private client specialists, handling a diverse caseload from day one, including direct client contact with individuals, families, executors, and trustees both within the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Manage administration of trusts and executries, including high-value taxable estates
- Prepare Wills and Powers of Attorney
- Support guardianship matters and asset protection strategies
- Liaise directly with clients, providing excellent service
- Collaborate with partners, solicitors, tax specialists, and fellow paralegals
- Maintain strong financial management of your caseload
- Contribute to team development and excellence
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a private client team is essential
- Strong background in executries, trusts, and will drafting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines
- Approachable, confident, with a genuine interest in personal legal matters
- Proactive, detail-oriented, committed to continuous learning
- Case management and IT system knowledge is a plus (training available)
