Specialising in advanced enterprise and data centre network infrastructure, the business has built a reputation for delivering robust, scalable solutions using cutting-edge Cisco technologies. With a strong focus on VXLAN-EVPN overlays, Data Centre Fabric (DNFC), and Nexus platforms, they’re seeking a technically driven Network DC Engineer to play a key role in major client transformation projects. Data Centre Network Design & Delivery: Architect and implement scalable VXLAN-EVPN network solutions using Cisco Nexus switching and automation tools.
Fabric Infrastructure Expertise: Deliver and manage DNFC environments with NDFC (formerly DCNM), optimising for performance and automation.
Technical Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to scope, build, and troubleshoot enterprise-level data centre networks.
Automation & Operational Efficiency: Use tools like Ansible, Python, and Terraform to automate tasks and ensure consistent network deployment.
Senior-Level Troubleshooting: Serve as a technical escalation point for complex L2/L3, multicast, and VXLAN-related incidents.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with VXLAN-EVPN in production data centre environments.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco Nexus (9K, 7K, 5K) and NDFC.
- Deep understanding of fabric discovery protocols, multicast, and L2/L3 networking.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI is beneficial but not essential.
- Certifications such as CCNP DC (minimum), CCIE DC (desirable).
- Excellent documentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
