We are seeking a Multi Skilled Vehicle Repair Technician to join our team in Basildon. The role involves performing all repair tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes to optimize workshop workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and report on vehicle structure and paintwork
- Ensure vehicle safety standards are met before customer delivery
- Remove and store vehicle components safely
- Dispose of vehicle components and fluids responsibly
- Conduct quality control and finalize repairs
- Report faults and defects
- Maintain tools and report equipment issues
- Follow repair methods as documented
- Replace and repair panels, including filler work and painting
- Prepare surfaces and apply topcoats accurately
- Finish with flat and polish techniques as needed
- Adhere to health and safety standards
- Document all materials and components used
- Protect customer vehicles during repairs
- Complete QC sheets and ensure compliance with standards
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in vehicle body repair (Paint/Panel MET)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to obtain relevant qualifications
- ATA qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Experience in bodyshop repairs
- Team player with initiative
- Flexible with a positive attitude
