Job Description:

The Consultancy Group is partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing boutique consultancy that specialises in transaction advisory services. As part of their continued growth, the firm is seeking a senior leader to head a team focused on delivering high-impact transaction advice, financial due diligence, and finance-oriented operational analysis and design.

Working closely with Private Equity and Corporate clients, the team supports complex transactions on both the buy and sell side, providing expert guidance throughout the deal lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of insightful financial due diligence and transaction support across buy and sell-side engagements.
  • Help clients obtain reliable and accurate financial data to support forecasting, valuation, and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate transaction boundaries and supporting documents to identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Assess the financial implications of separation and integration complexities.
  • Analyse forecast assumptions and business plans, highlighting potential areas of concern or opportunity.
  • Manage and mentor a growing team of 10 professionals, supporting their technical and professional development.

Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Due Diligence within an M&A environment, either in industry or professional services.
  • Strong track record of generating business and bringing a proven revenue pipeline to the firm.
  • Deep technical understanding of core deal concepts including quality of earnings, net debt, and equity value bridging.
  • Hands-on experience across the full transaction cycle, including buy- and sell-side due diligence, vendor assistance, and post-deal integration.
  • Familiarity with transaction documentation such as SPAs and expertise in data analysis and financial modelling.
  • Proven leadership skills, including developing and coaching junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a history of maintaining long-term client partnerships.
