We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Workforce Management Team Leader (Onsite Role - 5 days in a week) to join our team in London. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of our workforce to meet the demands of a fast-paced, high-end operational environment. You will be responsible for leading a team of workforce management professionals, ensuring optimal staff allocation, leveraging workforce management technology, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of workforce management professionals, driving performance and continuous improvement in workforce planning processes.
- Staff Scheduling: Oversee the creation and optimisation of staff rotas, ensuring shift coverage aligns with operational requirements while maintaining flexibility for fluctuating demand.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure efficient staff deployment, balancing cost-effectiveness with maintaining high service standards.
- Timekeeping & Attendance Management: Oversee workforce timekeeping systems to ensure accurate payroll data and compliance with company policies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, HR, and other stakeholders to anticipate and address staffing needs with strategic solutions.
- Vendor & Agency Management: Manage relationships with third-party staffing agencies and workforce management software vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Compliance: Ensure all workforce management activities comply with UK employment laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate and present workforce performance reports, including KPIs, labour forecasts, and cost analyses, to senior management. Use data-driven insights to improve workforce planning and efficiency.
- Technology Utilisation: Implement and manage workforce planning tools and software to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in workforce management or a similar role, with at least 1 year in a leadership position.
- Experience in vendor and third-party agency management, ensuring quality service and adherence to agreements.
- Proficiency in workforce management tools and software, such as: SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Quinyx, Deputy, Reflexis, Microsoft Excel (Advanced level) & Microsoft Access.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting, capacity planning, and labour cost optimisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Good knowledge of UK employment laws and best practices in workforce management.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving operational demands.
- Experience in high-paced industries such as catering, hospitality, logistics, or similar sectors is an advantage.
