My highly successful international boutique consultancy client is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager level management consultant to join their growing Retail performance improvement team. Their Retail team works with healthy, under-performing and distressed companies across a variety of urgent, high impact situations. They help clients deliver significant improvement in business performance and enterprise value across all subsectors within the Retail industries through five key areas: revenue growth, profit improvement, cash management, digital transformation, and organisational effectiveness.
You will need an excellent level of education for this role along with experience from a recognised, leading or specialist boutique management consultancy ideally with industry expertise. The ideal consultant would have a focus on direct sourcing and end-to-end sourcing improvement. A keen interest in the retail sector or Luxury Goods will be a bonus. This is a hands-on delivery role where we are looking for expertise in specific delivery experience in sourcing.
To be right for this role your expertise needs to include:
- Management consultancy
- Led sourcing departments / the sourcing of specific categories
- Overhauled the sourcing strategy for retailers and are familiar with current sourcing and supply chain dynamics
- Excel modelling capability to estimate impacts from sourcing/negotiation shifts
- Pros/cons of different Go-to-Market processes: speed models versus longer calendar approaches
This role offers excellent prospects as part of a growing team. There is a single P&L, no audit channel and no sales target with this role. It is a meritocracy; your career is important to them and where the best possible work/life balance is important.
For the Manager role they are offering a base salary of up to £120,000 + extensive benefits + very competitive bonus. You will need 7 – 12 years’ relevant experience. For the Senior Manager role they are offering a base salary up to £150,000 + extensive benefits + very competitive bonus. You will need 12+ years’ relevant experience.
