The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability.
As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Technicians.
- Manage all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and compliance with site and industry regulations, including ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP.
- Work closely with operations to meet quality and contamination prevention standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained during all maintenance activities.
- Managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, review, and issuance of work packs with adequate RAMS.
- Monitoring work progress, managing priorities, and ensuring timely completion of work orders within the CMMS system.
- Handling administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary actions, and deputising for the Maintenance Manager.
- Collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team to develop accurate weekly maintenance schedules.
- Participating in root cause analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Providing first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
- Promoting a safety culture and ensuring all maintenance work complies with safety, quality, and OEM standards.
- Supervising external OEM contractors for compliance inspections and future PM planning.
